About the photo: Image is of "darlingtonia californica", a rare "pitcher plant" that grows in California near the coastal redwood forests. I took this picture in the Smith River National Recreational Area in northern California. There was a small, shaded boggy area with this curious patch of darlingtonia plants.

Processing by Minoxlab, where they also scanned the negative. No digital adjustments nor retouching done except higher jpeg compression.
