Formed in April of 2001 as a means for Minox enthusiasts
world wide to meet via the Internet, the Society provides members
a unique opportunity to work in collaboration on a wide range of
projects devoted to preserving the history of everything Minox.
The Minox Memo, the journal of the Society is the premier
publication in the Minox community for those who want to know about
everything Minox. The
full colour, professionally designed magazine offers you fresh,
interesting and informative articles covering all the Minox cameras,
techniques for their use, historical information, discount coupons,
and advertisements for companies specializing in the supporting
Minox enthusiasts with top quality products. The Memo provides interviews
with Thorsten Kortemeier, the President of Minox, GmbH, Don Thayer,
Jr., President of Minox Processing Laboratories in America, and
more from the movers and shakers in the Minox Community…access
you simply can’t get anywhere else.
Readers of the Minox Memo were the first to learn of techno-thriller
novelist Tom Clancy’s fascination with the Minox camera, and
the fact that he was specifically incorporating one into his forthcoming
novel. They got a ringside seat to using Minox at the international
Olympics in Utah, and heard from the man who spent years assisting
Irv Feher’s legendary speed shooting and processing traveling
road show.
